A Stupendous Cricket League Organized by Alpharive Tech Private Ltd

Asia Cup 2022 is around the corner and nobody needs a reason to play cricket at any time of the year. It’s time to dust your cricket bags and enjoy the most loved sport around the globe. Cricket has been ruling everyone’s hearts.

This is an opportunity for everyone in the corporate world to rekindle school or college games and reconnect with it again now. 

With a full swing, the 4 teams kick-start their cricket league on October 8th, 2022 and there could be no other better way to enter into the weekend.

First Match : Avengers Vs Asuras 

As the sun was rising higher, the coins were lowered between team Asuras and Avengers. Asuras won the toss and choose to bowl first. Both the teams were warming up, and the match openers from team Avengers were the team captain Manikandan and Prakash. Bharath from team Asuras is the first bowler, both batters were giving equal competition to the bowler. We could see a few sixers from Prakash's bat. But unfortunately, the team captain was out with just 3 runs.

The next batsman to enter the field was Joshua, the teammates had a few talks before the next ball. Joshua was accompanied well, but the perfect knock was from Prakash who did not lose his spirit and scored 30 runs at the end of 5 overs. Whereas Joshua scored 4 runs to put up a total team score of 37 runs.

After a few minutes, the second innings started and the team Asura's opening batsmen were Abisake and Bharath who were really playing well at the beginning, Abisake’s scored 25 runs along with 6’s and 4’s, Bharath scored 5 runs and was out. The next batsman was Anand could not score any runs. Lakshmi Narayanan stepped into the game and scored 8 runs along with Abisake to put together 38runs to win their first match.

Second Match : Devils vs Spartans

After a while, the second match started between team Devils and the Spartans. Spartans choose to bat, and the team captain Manoharan and Zahid were the first to play. Unfortunately, the team captain scored 2 runs and the wicket was taken by subash. The first six were from Zahid with his first ball.

Gopalan was the next one to enter but was bowled by Karthik after scoring 8 runs. Spartans did not lose hope Ramchi entered the field last moment and geared up the game by scoring 9 runs and increasing the team total to 25 runs. Team devils started their second innings with the captain subash and Gowtham.

Gowtham was bowled by Manoharan in his first ball. Subash scored 7runs and David took his wicket. The next batsmen were Muthu Priya and Karthik, after facing many balls Muthu Priya got out by Zahid. Karthik scored 2 runs and Pooja was the last batsman and hope. Pooja scored 4 runs but could not win Spartans won their first match. 

Third Match : Devils vs Avengers

Since all the teams played a match, now to begin the 3rd match between team Devils and Avengers. The devils choose to bat, subash scored 1 run and his wicket was taken by Manikandan from Avengers. We could be 6’s from Gotham's bat and scored 6 runs at the end of 5 overs. Karthik scored 2 runs but Prakash hit the stumps and made him run out.

Pooja was the next one and scored 2 runs but her wicket was also taken by Prakash. This made team Devil score to 22runs. Avengers team Karthik took the biggest player’s wicket of Prakash after he scored 4runs. But Manikandan scored on behalf of his team and scored 14runs but was out by Karthik.

Joshua scored 2 runs and Vinoth scored 5 runs in the last over, which was quite terrifying and scored a total of 25runs to win the match. 

Fourth Match : Asuras vs Spartans

Asuras and Spartans were on the field to start their 4th match, Asuras choose to bowl. Manoharan and Gopalan from Spartans were the openers. Gopalan could only score 1 and his wicket was taken by Chandru. Zahid scored 5 runs along with Manoharan who scored 6 runs.

Abisake bowled Zahid, followed by which Ramchi and David were run-out. The last batsman was Nivetha and she scored 1 run to put a total score of 14runs. In the second innings, the team captain Chandru showed his captaincy by scoring 11 runs at the end of 5 overs. Anand was out, then Lakshmi Narayanan stepped into the field and scored 10runs to win the match with 21runs. 

Fifth Match : Spartans vs Avengers

This 5th match was going to decide the finalists, so this match was between team Avengers and Spartans and we already know that team Avengers is very strong in both batting as well as fielding. The two openers were the pillars of the whole team. Avengers chose to bat first, and the Spartans set their field accordingly to make sure they get into the finals.

Prakash and manikandan were the first two batsmen. Manikandan scored 13 runs and stayed till the end of 5th over. Prakash was well expected and he scored 20 runs and his wicket was taken by Ramchi. Joshua came in the last over and added an extra 1 run to the team to a total of 36 runs.

Spartans were ready for their second innings and Manoharan scored 14runs, Gopalan scored only 3 runs but was run out by Manikandan. Zahid also lost his wicket at the beginning and Vinoth took his wicket. Ramchi scored 1 run and the total was just 18runs and the team Spartans could not make it to the finals. 

Final Match : Asuras vs Avengers

After a short break, the final match was all set to begin between the mighty team of Avengers and Asuras. We all by now know that avengers are totally superheroes, things can turn around any side. After the toss Asuras choose to bowl. The two openers set foot for the final match. Without a second thought, both of them stayed till the end of 5 overs. Manikandan scored 20 runs alone with 2 continuous sixes. The impact player Prakash scored 29 runs with three 4’s and one 6 to put up a score of 49 runs. Asuras were ready for their second innings. Chandru and Lakshmi Narayanan were the first batsmen but Lakshmi Narayanan was out very early by the miracle throw from Prakash. Bharath was also bowled on his very first ball by Vinoth, followed by Chandru who scored 3 runs also bowled by Vinoth. The one man showed was carried out by Abisake who did not give up till the end and he individually scored 33 runs but that did makeup up the final score. So finally the team “Avengers” won the match and a well-deserved one because they were a very strong team. Prakash alone scored 85 runs and took 3 wickets.

Woman Of the Series : Pooja

The memento was raised by the team Avengers gracefully and nobody could disagree with it. The woman of the series was secured by Pooja from team Devils who gave her best in both overall. This all happened by cheering up each other and with the captain’s encouragement.
