BSE and AIMA MSME Partner to Promote SME and Startup Listings in India
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has partnered with the All-India Association of MSMEs (AIMA MSME) to promote and facilitate the listing of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and startups across India.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has partnered with the All-India Association of MSMEs (AIMA MSME) to promote and facilitate the listing of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and startups across India. AIMA MSME will help BSE evaluate these businesses for Possible addition on BSE SME board and raise awareness among investors. Joint roadshows and events will be held to inform MSMEs about the benefits of listing.
Ajay Thakur, Director of BSE SME & Startup, highlighted the importance of funding for MSMEs and startups and how this partnership will encourage equity financing and attract more investors.
Avinash Dalal, Chairman of AIMA MSME, views the partnership with BSE as a significant step towards assisting in the evaluation and listing of SMEs and startups.
This collaboration strengthens their commitment to nurturing the growth of the MSME sector and entrepreneurs in India, aligning with the goal of making India a $5 trillion economy.
BSE, having received SEBI approval, launched its SME platform in 2012. To date, 353 companies on the BSE SME platform have collectively raised Rs. 3,731.81 crore, with a total market capitalization of Rs. 40,716.24 crore as of November 11, 2021. This initiative aims to further empower Indian MSMEs and startups in the financial landscape.
